God's Timing
In my short, humble life, I have had the privilege of experiencing the greatness of God's timing. When the time comes, what is meant for you will happen.
So many times we try so hard for that job, that marriage, that grant, that baby: that dream dangling in front of your face that you cannot seem to reach no matter how hard you try. Your wanting for it burns like fire inside you. No matter how much force you thrust your whole being toward it, it doesn't happen for you. You can't have it.
You cry. You drown in pity. You ask yourself, why do things always have to be so hard for me? You try. Your heart breaks. You're angry. You are sad. You fall into a loop of sadness, frustration, confusion, and dooming resignation.
What then?
What is the one thing that will make you get up and try again? Not only try, but try with joy. Try with an absolute acceptance of whatever happens, whether you get it, or you try again, because those become your only two options. And no matter how many times you fall down, you know you will get up, and it will happen.
Determination comes from the sureness that the reality you're chasing exists and will happen. So what is it that makes you absolutely sure it will happen to you and for you?
It's an undeniable belief in God's timing.
God knows. God sees. And God chooses the best for us.
Your job is to try, and God will sort all the puzzle pieces out for you. And when it happens, it will all make sense. The more you believe that, the happier your journey in the pursuit of your dreams will be, regardless of the outcome.
And that's what it's all about, isn't it? In the end, all we want is to be happy.
