A reaffirmation for me & everyone who needs to hear this:

It’s okay to slow down.
It’s okay to do one thing at a time.
It’s okay to do nothing at all.
It’s okay to prioritize sleep.
It’s okay for the goal to be simply: be happy.
It’s okay not to be productive at all times.
It’s okay if things are out of your hands.

Even if you don’t do anything at all this year, or ever, you have done enough.
You are loved regardless of whether you achieve or not.

When someone is upset with you for expressing yourself or setting a boundary, it is not about you.
Focusing on yourself is not selfish.
Choosing to “let them” and protecting your own peace is not selfish.

It’s okay to be sad sometimes.
It’s okay to not do anything about it.
It’s okay if the only thing you did today was get out of bed.
It’s okay to feel farther from your goals than when you started.
It’s okay if you are delayed.
It’s okay if you did not get the best out of it.
It’s okay to start again tomorrow.

Even if your first instinct when you feel down is to shake it off and push yourself through it, it’s important sometimes to allow yourself the space to feel, to sit with it, to be sad. Not for too long, but long enough to let it pass through you. You do not have to have it all figured out all the time.

Take your time. Take it one day at a time. Invest in your creativity, your solitude.

You’re doing amazing.
You’re loved regardless.
You’ve done more than enough already.

You are enough.
