August 5: The Woman I'm Becoming
August 5: The Woman I'm Becoming
Describe the version of yourself you'll be proud to meet in five years. How does she think? Love? Rest?
In five years, I'll be disgustingly educated, having spent most of my adolescence studying, learning, pursuing degrees. By then I'll have a background in engineering, business management, entrepreneurship, and wellbeing.
I'll be an associate professor with published works.
I'll have taught hundreds of students, hopefully leaving traces of good in all of them.
I'll be a writer, a published author, not in academia but in what I've always dreamed of.
I'd be a mother, hopefully a homemaker, a permanent outlet for all the love pouring out of me.
I'd be a good wife, daughter, sister, and friend.
I'd acquire new skills, maybe baking? Maybe I'll finally learn French, and it will stick?
I'd be the avid reader I always aspired to be.
I will be kind, whimsical, and compassionate. My heart will have grown bigger, stretching to the depths, encompassing all the people I love, and more.
(I'm both a victim and a propeller of consumerism; I hope by then I'll have fixed my spending problem.)
