Purpose and perseverance
Sometimes you find yourself further from your goal than when you started.
Or you’ve failed so many times in a row that there’s nothing left in you to convince yourself to keep trying.
Or the weight of expectations becomes so heavy that even getting out of bed feels impossible.
Or even your happy moments are stolen from you, because in the back of your mind, there’s that nagging reminder that you still have so much to do,
and you haven’t done enough.
Until there are no happy moments left.
No excitement. No sadness. No feeling at all.
Just stillness, stuck.
while you can clearly see how far you are from where you want to be,
yet you cannot move an inch.
Remind yourself:
To have a purpose is a blessing.
To know where you want to be is a blessing.
To fail at something is a blessing.
Even having the privilege of a goal is, in itself, a blessing.
You are in a much better position than you think.
Be grateful that you have a reason to get up.
Bask in the glory of having goals and dreams.
Even if it’s not working out right now,
Even if you’ve fallen,
you are still moving toward something.
You have something to try again for.
Something to get back up for.
Something to walk toward.
This revelation helped me today,
on one of the low days in my journey.
I hope it finds whoever needs it.
